Spring into Action!

Kick off April by competing in the Cisco Programming Competition, signing up for our annual Cambridge Company tour, and playing foosball against other students, staff and faculty in the 9th annual CS Foosball Tournament.

7th Annual UMass Amherst ACM  Cisco Programming Competition

The 7th annual Five College Cisco Programming Competition is an ACM ICPC style programming competition hosted by UMass ACM student chapter and open to all five college students. Come compete for fun and profit with prizes (including $100 Bluetooth speakers, custom laptop case, and Raspberry Pi) offered by Cisco. Free food and beverages are also generously provided by Cisco. It’s a great time every year and a fun chance to take on some programming puzzles.


ACM Cambridge Company Tour

Date: TBD (between April 16th and April 28th, weekday)

Submit your application for the annual ACM Cambridge Company Tour (link below)! Deadline is April 11th, by 10:00am. About 8-10 UMass ACM members will be chosen. If accepted, you will receive an email with further instructions.

Companies: Microsoft, Google, MIT Media Lab

Meet with Vice Presidents, directors, and employees at some of the biggest names in tech. Tour and learn about the amazing products and research currently being done.

Basic Agenda includes:

  • Q&As with vice presidents, directors, and employees
  • Tours of facilities
  • Free lunch
  • Networking Opportunities

Cost: Free for drivers. $10 for non-drivers.
